The OBDPro Serial interface measures 1 3/4" x 3 3/4" x 3/4" and is built for use around the workshop. This unit is compatible with the ELM327 chipset commands but it goes further than the ELM327 in some cases. For example it has a double buffered messaging system so that it can keep up with heavy OBD traffic. It also supports variable baud rates from 9600 BPS to 1.25 MBPS and includes a remote upgrade capability so new features can be downloaded to your scantool for free without replacing the chip (most other ELM327 style scantools require you to replace the chip at a cost of approx $ 32 per upgrade)
